ZONE in Hokkaido giving us a special tour of some of their favorite spots!

They seem extremely excited throughout the video. I find it funny how they didn't bring any money haha. Or perhaps they just wanted the staff to treat them =P

i've never seen this before!  the lead singer i think is named tomomi kahara, and the song is called "akiramemashou."  i don't know much more than that, other than the fact that the little red riding hood costumes are really cute 

EDIT: just found out it's from the 2002 red/white new year's music show (called kouhaku...?)



i stumbled across this after watching a live akashi video where they interview the girls and ask them to name a favorite (older?) song. 



miyu picked "chase the chance" by namie amuro, which is a dance-y song.  sort of foreshadowed "just 4 your luv" and "snowy love" maybe...

It seems that Miyu really likes Namie Amuro a lot. If I remember correctly, in another interview, she said that she likes all her songs. And she sings that "chase the chance" in her audition too.

How about ZONE doing a Beatles cover?

Does anybody know the When & Why behind this? I don't.

Maybe the only song they sang entirely in english (as a band)?

I say "as a band" because I've seen Miyu sing Amazing Grace.

 Hi Crow, yes back in 2002-3 area they used to do 2 Beatles songs in English as a band. Mostly Takayo and Miyu really.
I can't remember which other song they did offhand, I will be reinstalling all my ZONE files next week. Going to a 1TB HDD
so I can fit everything and still have room to transcode video etc, that and multi boot 3 O/Ss. Will keep my 320GB HDD for my
music library since it's only 1/2 full. ( right now my ZONE is on 4-5 DVDs)
Just my ZONE files are about 20+GB, the Okinawa Tour, TV Special, Patajyu Show(homemade dvd), 400+ photos, and their albums
and 5? single cd's and 50-60 Flash vids, not to mention lyrics, tabs etc. Going to add their POPJAPAN TV shows later (well I have 2 ZONE
I think) 8-9 shows total.
Anyway I should have the flash for both songs and my email is listed.

I think there is an annual John Lennon festival or something like that in Japan, probably due to the Yoko Ono connection.  ZONE did "Tell Me Why" and "Girl" at one of these festivals.  Both videos are periodically up and down on YouTube, as well as an interview of them either before or after they perform.

Also re: Yokohama, has anyone come across the video of ZONE stuffing their faces with pork buns from some little street stall in the Chinatown there?

@Revs fan: I think I know what you're talking about. I got a lot of rare ZONE footage on my other computer but I have a slow connection there, so it's hard to upload. (like 60 videos) There is another TV special I have--which is kind of like the Okinawa trip--in which they go to Tokyo the first time and I that's the first video that comes to mind. I'll see if I have what you're looking for.

Someone just posted a video of  's hawaiian tour on YouTube. Can't believe how much of those big hamburgers Maiko can handle. Maiko is so cute in the video and incredibly energetic.
