Thank you so much for posting these, kill_murder_stab!

It's great to see MARIA being so strong during their first real tour... and Maiko looks and sounds perfectly lovely, as always!  Love

I think I found one more clip from the tour, as well... maybe these will help us all get through, until their sext single is released...

PS. Don't you wish there was news about a new MARIA album? I sure do...

And I like MABUDACHI from MARIA's You Go! album more than the singles that were released from the same album!

I haven't followed MARIA much.  Has this clip already been "out there" a while?  What about in HD?  This user xneo49x has been putting up a lot of stuff in HD recently.

Two versions of MABUDACHI live have been released, revsfan98... MARIA released their You Go! We Are MARIA tour on DVD, and the second version was included on the bonus DVD that came with their last single, Sayonara Daisuki na Hito.

It's always great to see more of Maiko!  Love

One thing worth mentioning though, I think, is that when MARIA performs live, they could probably benefit from a better sound engineer than the one they've been using. Compared to ZONE, their live mixes sound kind of unbalanced to me. For example, here's the studio version of MABUDACHI on imeem. I think it's a great mix:

http://www.imeem.com/maria-6/music/PeyesjvI/maria-mabudachi/

Much better sounding than the live version, isn't it?

Here are a couple of other favorites from the You Go! Album.

Watch Me:
http://www.imeem.com/maria-6/music/GMAN9oX-/maria-watch-me/

H@tchake:
http://www.imeem.com/maria-6/music/9zNNl-WW/maria-htchake/

Anata Ni:
http://www.imeem.com/maria-6/music/ubmC4CTv/maria-anata-ni/

Ichiban Boshi:
http://www.imeem.com/maria-6/music/smOlbC9P/maria-ichiban-boshi/

These are my very favorite songs on the You Go! album... and also note that not one of them was released as a single. The live performance of Anata Ni is riveting... The camera stays on Maiko an awful lot of the time, and you can see how much feeling she puts into singing the song. Also, since it's more of a ballad, the less than perfect live mixing doesn't pose too much of a problem.

Don't get me wrong... MARIA is a great band, and definitely worth following and supporting... they're just needing to fine tune the precision of their sound, is all. They have that kind of control in the studio... they just need some further assistance when playing live, in my opinion.

But then again, who am I to say? Like many others, I'm a MARIA fan pretty much because of my love for Maiko. Of course I'm going to be picky and critical... because I want her to be treated the best.

PS.

While checking MARIA's blog today, I discovered that our gal has just gotten a new haircut for spring:

She's wondering if it's too dark of a color. It isn't. She seems to joke that the short length makes her look like a boy. It doesn't. She looks absolutely great, as a matter of fact... just about perfect to these eyes...

And if there isn't a better reason to love MARIA than that sweet face we've been missing so much, it's the hopes that their anniversary tour goes really well, and that they'll soon be getting a new album in the works. I sure hope they do...

 Love

Definitely not too dark- it looks just right. It's been a while too, and reminds me of their good old days. I would like to see Miyu with dark hair too- fits her more.

Well it looks like MARIA had a great, great time playing their third anniversary concert!

I've been checking their blog, and there are so many good feelings and "Thank You"'s expressed there!!!! And maybe a few hints of things to come...

I've just been using Google Translation, but it looks like they're writing about having some new songs... and there's even one reference to video... so maybe the event was captured on video. I sure hope so, because I'll gladly order another MARIA live DVD if they make one!!!!

Surprisingly, there haven't been more pics of  Maiko and I'm dying to see how she looks now!!! She's a sly one, keeping us in suspense like that haha...

Anyhow, sorry I couldn't make it to the concert, MARIA... but please know that you still have a fan over here in the cold Wisconsin weather, and your happiness has brought a little extra warmth to the chilly, slow-in-coming spring!!!

I just used some of my income tax refund to order Tsubomi and the live MARIA DVD from CD Japan. Big Grin

I also took a chance on ordering a used copy of the Believe in Love single from JPOPHelp  --  I don't know whether they're a good (or even honest) vendor, and if I had to make a guess, it would be that it's a Sony reissue (rather than the original indie pressing) but they took PayPal, and it was only $20.00 (including shipping), so I figured that it was worth teh gamble . Okay... this was done with Google translator, so I don't know how accurate it is.

I decided to check if there was any MARIA news in their blog tonight, and they might be releasing a NEW SINGLE on August 12!!!

If I interpreted the translation correctly, the single is going to be called "Kanashimi Rensa" and is going to be the opening theme for an anime called "Battlefield Barukyuria", which means it has a good chance of being successful... anime themes usually get more exposure.

Anyway... I don't know if the titles are 100% correct... so any help with that would be appreciated... and it looks like the girls are mentioning Bent-Web Mobile a lot now. Since Miyu's last single was a mobile-only release, and since people over there use mobile devices to surf the web a lot, it does make sense that most of the really important news would be broadcast that way.

IF this is all true... WELCOME BACK, MARIA!!!!!

Looks like the anime is a sort of alternate pre-WWII universe (click on the link to the official series website, and then click on "story").

Did anybody ever get sucked into any other the other MARIA related animes?  Like that one about the bread baker (that used Chiisana Uta) or one of the Naruto movies (that used Tsubomi)?  I never watched either of them, but I'm just curious if anybody has any strong feelings about them.

Well that definitely confirms it, revsfan98! Thank you so much for posting!!!!

It looks like this is an anime made out of a PS3 game... "Valkyria Chronicles"... sorry it took so long to post this info...

And no, I don't really watch much anime at all... except for K-ON! because it reminds me of ZONE. (btw... ep. 11 is up).

 Yay

PS.

I really needed to see this new pic that was posted in their blog:

It's amazing how just seeing Maiko's smiling face can make your day!!!!!
