I remember when I was going through the worst time of my life and then seeing her Sae Zuri performance for the first time...it DID make my day...many times! I couldn't stop thinking about those smiles...I found a small measure of peace during that time, despite all the tribulations.

Your translation, Kanashimi Rensa, is correct, 4n01.

Did anybody ever get sucked into any other the other MARIA related animes?  Like that one about the bread baker (that used Chiisana Uta) or one of the Naruto movies (that used Tsubomi)?  I never watched either of them, but I'm just curious if anybody has any strong feelings about them.

well for us who like to watch Anime and read Manga, Yes..it just makes the anime better if the OST is your
Favorite Band..and in the case of Yakitate Japan and Naruto the Movie..it just made the whole thing sweeter knowing that our lovely Maiko-chan's Doing the OST..that goes double for Astro Boy..

remember Tetsuwan Atom?..

and also..4n01 is totally right..Anime themes do get more exposure..the say that 9 out of 10 kids watch Anime..and 10 out of 10 teen agers watch anime too..

so its not hard for them to not get noticed..

and about that new anime you guys just said..I'll be sure to be looking out for it.. Grin

and oh before i forget..

Nice MAIKO PICS GUYS!!!!!..hahah..
Maiko always brings a big smile on face when i see her pics..
especialy her new pics which i rarely see..T_T..

can anybody give me a link to Maiko's Blog??
thanks a bunch!!! Great

Here you go, zerojinnu!

MARIA's group blog (all six members make entries for the same blog):

http://playlog.jp/maria_blog/blog/

Maiko had her own blog before it got switched over:

And... here are the previews of their new single!

Kanashimi Rensa as the opening theme for Valkyria Chronicles:

And here is the full version of the song. I don't know why the video is about baseball players, though  Big Grin

Wow! Thank you so much, 4n01! (Long time no see, by the way) I guess the guy/girl who made the video must have been a baseball fan (and a MARIA fan if they were able to find a full version of the song).

The song is really cool. They about have enough singles released for a album now, right? After 3 singles, they released "You Go! We are MARIA!" and this will be their 3rd. Hopefully we will have an album or something around New Year.

Here you go, zerojinnu:

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/

Loads of all the most popular new instruments, and it looks like they sell used stuff now, too!

If you have any questions about ordering and shipping, here's the international customer support page:

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/document?doc_id=91251

I'm so happy that people REALLY like MARIA's new single! It took several times of listening for it to grow on me, but now I have to mention that I like the production so much... it's their most polished single since HEART BEAT, I think...

I couldn't find a lot more out about it online, but I did stumble across this description:

MARIA - カナシミレンサ

This is Valkyrie Chronicles(戦場のヴァルキュリア) second opening theme song, Kanashimi Rensa(カナシミレンサ) literally means "Chain of sadness". According to progression of the story, the music composed with deep tone to express the growing sadness as oppose to first opening theme song.

Thanks to Healingbox's Zero Dimension for the info!  Bravo

hi revsfan, here's one I use sometimes. http://www.music123.com .
Pretty good prices and they are reliable and can be trusted.

Theres also a Japanese music store that sells internationally, I'll look them up ( didn't
someone mention them here once ?)
I bought my Jaguar on EBAY, it's a beauty, just make
sure you get some type of guarantee. Actually, on EBAY, Japanese Toronado's are one of the best
bargains around. They are better quality than the Mexican ones but usually sell for for $100-200 less.
If you do buy a MIM one make sure it's a 'Reissue' 2004-2006, major quality difference.

Happy hunting

Oh yeah, Maria has added at least one new show date and something else, I'm not sure what.

I realize that Runtime Studio only lists the bigger dates. I don't think they list any local club dates or
anything like that. Some of the members who have been here longer might be able to define that
thought better.
Because of this I'm not sure we really understand how busy the girls are, just how often they go on a
national stage ( per se ).

You Go! We are MARIA is an awesome album and worth buying in my opinion.....MAIKO is what makes MARIA...Reina brings versatility to the band with keyboard // violin skills...Tattsu is awesome with the drum and I would like her and Mizuho have a face off  Laugh.

Here's a nice picture of Tattsu I found:

Tattsu IS an awesome drummer, SkyJay... I sure can't argue with that!

Her style of drumming is more rock than Mizu's, and listening to the new single impresses me more every day... MARIA has certainly grown nicely, haven't they? And when checking their website... Maiko STILL looks so beautiful, too!

I'd also like to welcome you to the forum! If there's anything you need, just say so or send me a private message, and I'll try to help. Just remember not to request downloads, and we'll get along like best friends!

Awesome nickname, by the way! Welcome home!

new PV with subtitles is up on youtube!  maiko just looks COOL.  a bit reminiscent of her "akashi" look, but more mature and grown up and less "kid playing dress up"  Laugh

also, it seems we are near a "high point" in the cycle of ZONE stuff being uploaded before it gets taken down.  almost everything that is on a DVD is up somewhere on YT.  if there's something you've been wanting to watch, watch it now before it goes away for another who-knows-how-many months.  some of those "making of" videos are hilarious!

I was thinking about buying the single but I think I would wait for MARIA's next album to come out since first press editions comes with a PV DVD of their songs.

Thank you for posting the PV, revsfan98! It really SHOULD have been offered with the first press CD... I love it!

I found this version without subs as well, in case some people prefer that:

I still hope that, someday, fans will sub our favorite songs in Romaji... so we could sing along better, you know?

I am finding Ashita e No Kiseki very addicting  Smiley.  Maiko is just awesome in both songs.
